August 11-12, 2012

"PERSEID PARTY"

This video was made from roughly 1,482 individual photos taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and Canon EF 17-40mm lens. Exposure times for the individual photos were all 30 seconds at an aperture of f4 and an ISO of 6400. I used QuickTime 7 Pro to stitch all the photos into a video, then edited the video (added titles, credits and music) using iMovie on my iMac.

July 14-15, 2012

"AURORA PARTY"

Okay folks, here it is... my time-lapse video from our night of Aurora watching July 14 and 15, 2012. This video was assembled from 1,160 individual pictures taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and Canon EF 17-40mm lens. Settings for the majority of the photos were an exposure time of 5 seconds, aperture f4.0, ISO 6400. I used QuickTime 7 Pro to assemble the individual photos into a single video, then used iMovie to add music, a title, captions and credits. It was a lot of fun not only capturing the photos to make this video, but also editing the video on the iMac. I hope you enjoy it!
