AURORA 0074 "Northern Glow" This image was made at about 3:00 in the morning in May of 2005. The northern lights were out and the sky was starting to show the first signs of light from the approaching sun. There was also a full moon, which caused the faint light you can see on the trunk of the tree. The orange glow on the horizon is from the city lights of Thunder Bay, Ontario - 40 miles away.
